LEARNING LIFE LESSONS THROUGH CHESS

Before moving to Apex, I taught chess to hundreds of children (grades 2-8) in Brunswick County schools from 2014-2025. Through the years, I refined my approach and techniques to incorporate life lessons, introduce critical thinking, and develop leadership skills. I use chess as a conduit through which your child will develop a logical approach to life, grounded in observation, analysis, and logic. Students will learn chess in a fun and energy-filled environment.
All classes will be limited to only ten students. Parents are welcome - and encouraged - to attend and learn chess as I have had many parents tell me that sitting across a chess board from their child at home encourages conversation and creates a bonding experience.
